Meds and PP request will come to you via email ( that's how they are requesting and rarely with letter ) You will have to mail that request letter to your folks who will do meds in home country and mail passport locally, you are technically just their mailbox. LVO will then mail passport back to HOME address which I assume is of home country

I am sure either your parents or someone back home have email address & access to printer. You just forward emails of both PPR and Medicals to them & they can print it, why printing in Canada & then mailing them back home, will take forever.

visa issued.

Nope, it means the file is in process. If the address changes to City and Prov only, then it means visa is issued.

No man I think when ur home address not the mailing address changed to partial Canadian address where your sponser lives then it means visa has been issued.

Yes that is your mailing address and when visa will be issued you will see two addresses i.e., Canadian home address and Indian mailing address.

you will get passport in 5 working days if they dispatch on same day so tommorow you will get passport back

u were very right Gaggi!!! we received the passport today but they sent it to our permanent home address and NOT to the Correspondence address provided with the application. Luckily we have tenants there now but the house was empty for quite some time..so any correspondence during tht time cud hv been missed :(. on ecas, both (home n mailing) addresses r our canadian address. so as note: keep an eye on all the addresses u provided to CIC.

ANOTHER QUESTION:
chc has asked for recent pcc as well and the letter say "provide from all locations (state/country) where u lived for more than 6 months". they didnt make any mention of exception to canada. so does tht mean we will hv to provide canadian pcc as well?? although, canadian background check has already been done thru fingerprints by embassy.
secondly, we received email for medicals but got pcc request thru regular mail along with passport.

I had the same, I only gave Indian PCC as I am told they mention Canadian PCC specifically. I am worried about that address as well, they might send to permanent home address

ok that makes a lot more sense. thanks for clarifying that.

Hi Everybody,

Today recieved e-mail from LVO-ISB for medical, separate e-mail for each member containing medical form/instructions. E-mail doesn't say if there is any time limit for medical as I read previously on this forum that they typically say it should be done in 30 days (just an observation). There is no change of status on e-cas, it still says "Application Recieved" under Sponsered person's name.

I have below questons if somebody can advise.
1. I have requested earlier to change address from Canadian to Local but dont see any change yet. Still showing my Canadian address as I'm Representative but asked to cancel this representation in order to proceed with change of address as I dont want communication through mail in Canada (just to avoid any delays).
2. When I initially applied back in 2009 I had one of my brother as dependant which i removed last year after his marriage (i recieved back application fees also) but now i recieved medical form for him. How to deal with this now?
3. Lastly, any tips for medical?

Thanks alot.

First of all congrats Muhriz! I am so happy to see that islamabad is speeding up with the applications :D.. I dont know why they didnt mention that you have to fo through medicals within 30 days.. But the time allocated to do medicals is 30 days for everyone , so get it done as soon as possible.. You wont see a change in ecas , as of now.. But you will surely see a change after ur done with the medicals , once they have been exaluated.. The status takes around 8 weeks to be updated..

1. Just keep a track on both of the addresses , if you dont see a change in address as of now..

2. From the past i have observed that though the dependent has been removed, but still the person who was a part of application initially has to go through medicals.. But kindly confirm again..

3. Just remain calm at the time of medicals. Dont get nervous.. Drink a lot of water before the medicals , start it a week before . Last but not the least people at IMO are really cooperative. So everything would go really smoothly.. Dont worry! :).
