4 weeks, I know two cases that took 4 weeks after the visa office received the passports.

Hi alba1 - Have you heard anything about Seattle office? Do you know if Seattle office updates e-cas with something like "visa has been issued and passport mailed ".. I really suspect that any office does that... In that case, we just have to wait for the mail to get back with passport....

Hi everyone! Nice to see lots of helpful information here!

My wife and I are sponsoring her parents.

Acknowledgement letter received in June 2008. Yesterday we received the letter requesting additional documents and asked to send them back to CPC in Mississauga. This is a good sign! At least they started looking at our application.

I have few questions regarding the new process and required documents.

1. They asked for Option C Printout for the tax year of original sponsorship application only (2008 in my case). Did anyone send them current financial status as well? Our family income increased substantially since 2008 and I just was wondering if this information should be updated as well.

2. Since our family income changed, we now can sponsor more people. I was wondering if it is possible to add my parents into the application at this stage or we will need to submit separate application for them once the sponsorship resumed (I hope it will).

3. My wife's parents are legally leaving with us since 2007 (3 years my father-in-law had worker status and his wife was accompanying him as visitor and now they both have visitor status for last 3). Originally I was going to send application to Buffalo, but it looks like the process has been changed recently. What would be the next steps after I send additional documents to CPC in Mississauga taking into account that my wife's parents are living with us in Canada (Toronto).

send one for 2008 & may be 2009 and nothing else. If you send more, they will reject it & send all of them back, it have seen this happen to many users in the past.

My friend mailed her mom's passport for visa stapming to Seattle at the end of November and they are stil waiting...

Just curious - did anyone see an ecas status change after this weekend (nothing for us)? Wondering if they are in the 'holiday' mode already and not moving anythign else further until after the holidays

if your are referring to CPP-O, I got change over the weekend & got email on Monday. Not sure about LVO.

I MAKE MY QUESION SIMPLE IF MORE GUYS CAN GIVE SUGGUESTIONS

AFTER SENDING ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS TO CIC I GOT ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
LETTER IN AUGUST AND SAID ALL DOCUMENTS COMPLETE AND UR APPLICATION IS IN QUEUE PROCESSING BUT SINCE THEN I DID NOT RECIEVE ANY MORE MAIL OR EMAIL TO SAY IF MY FILE WAS TRANSFERRED OR NOT AND AT ECAS IT IS SAME ONE LINE AS BEFORE
IS IT NORMAL THIS MUCH WAITING AS IT IS THE 5TH MONTH
I APPRECIATE IF U GUYS REPLY

got email from CIC officer at CPP-O who is assigned our file that he is waiting for medicals results & fee payments transfer from old file. He also gave me new file number & said will be able to review & process our case "within weeks" without delay. Let's see.

No, I don't know of any updates, but I'm sure even if they do it it will be after we received the passports. I'm just waiting...........

Thanks Kandel for your support; but my case from the initial day is on a sinking boat. Once it was rejected due to some miscalculations done by immigration department. Again had to struggle hard with sending paperwork back and forth many times to get it approved. Now that my mother is in Canada on super visa, I have send them to update the address but till date nothing happened. Still the address is of the home land.

Thirdly, now again had to send the whole paper work; still sinking and waiting.

Same here jasu and thanks a lott my case is little different from yours. Every step they leave me behind EVERY SINGLE STEP..by the time i see myself standing beside my friends (who applied around same time as me or later). CIC throws me at the last seat if u understand what i mean. right now i m again in waiting list but one day this all will come to an end for you, me and everyone else waiting i m sure in 2013

I saw that this has already been answered but just wanted to put your mind at further ease and so am sharing my experience.

I send all my documents along with everyone else in january and while everyone left and right was getting aors and transfer emails i did not get anything. my approval came 4 months after, probably one of the last people who send their documents originally in january but in the end the timeline does catch up.

Would not worry if I were you. sometimes no news is good news.

One case from Nov2011 batch got medical request from ISB.It is really really a good news and I hope soon we will get medicals too.They followed the application filed date not the sponsorship approval date.I am so happy and pray that we see more meds soon.
