Friends, I need your help again, please!
The letter from Ottawa states: "your passports are to be sent by pre-paid courrier, at your expense, with the return cost included".
I just got back from the post office, where Canada post does not deliver such service.
So, if you were in a similar situation, what company have you used to send your parent's passport abroad to the Canadian embassy?
Mom is here.
She can do landing here but she still needs to send her passport to the canadian embassy in her country of origin to get the pr document.
Please kindly advise!
Thank you :)

WHat about buying an Xpresspost envelope? Did they not offer you those Canada Post? They are prepaid and you could enclose them when mailing the passport.

my guess is that CIC looks at the income in line 150 of Option C printout (and/or other documents provided) compares with LICO and calculates for how many people the requirements are met... and then compares with the real number of people in the family (sponsor+spouse+kids+sponsored parents)...

that's what i see in my GCMS notes:

Family Size: 6
SA's Met For:7
Status: Passed

thank you for your replies.

in our case, the line 150 is showing three times less than the gross income we have... we are getting really worried.

Thanks Panjab for the information.

If somebody can add my timeline:

Applied in Sep, 2008
Re-submit the documents - April, 2012
AOR - I think June, 2012 at Ottawa
Medical Request - July, 2012
Medical done - July, 2012
Passport Request - Oct, 2012 from ND.

Hi ultimate7 i have added your timeline.

there are 2 ways of calculating income according to finance evaluation form: based on line 150 from option C printout and based on 12 months income (personal income from employment, from business, from rental, investment, interest)... and it looks like you can use whatever is higher...

i'm also not sure which year they use for assessment... i have a feeling that it's the year when you applied - because in 2008 i had enough funds for 7 people so GCMS notes make sence... but CIC might also be cheching all years - that i don't know...

a question to those who already got passport request - Is passport request from Ottawa a letter or an e-mail?

did the passport request come from ND? or it was a request from Ottawa to submit passport to ND?
