That doesn't sound like regular procedure and maybe you should contact CIC to check if it's something they have asked for before you spend any more money.Maybe you should also share the name of the clinic with the rest of us so that we don't make the same mistake.

i thought so, too...i've read a lot of negative things about this clinic: SCTS Medical Clinic (in Makati, Philippines)...

Just few cheer up words for all my lovely friends waiting to meet their families---More u think about it more it hurts :( so i have stopped thinking about it....I believe in God and i know our families will come one day soon...Its so hard to live without parents...miss my parents and younger brother a lott :'( I applied in april 2008 but didnt receive request for additional info in nov...after lots of calls and visiting countless tyms MP's office finally received doc's req in March'12 and now no AOR or anything since i returned documents on april 20 whereas who returned documents in may recieved letters already .. it bugs me like all of you guys but i always have to remind myself that getting upset wont help at all....I just Pray that we all get together with our families soon. God bless everyone....just remember everything happens for a reason and be happy..u r not alone :)

Hi Blue-angel ! So it's in Makati. My parents are in the Philippines. If ever, I would tell them to go to Malate instead - St. Lukes extension. Thanks for your feed back.

Just got an approval - June 23, 2012 for my parents. Ottawa processing. From your experience, how long is the processing time in Ottawa ?

An update from my last post, it appears that the CIC website has finally updated. Up until last week it was showing that Sponsorship was "Application Received". As of this morning it is also showing "Application Received" for Permanent Residence. The oddity is that there is no decision made on the sponsorship. Does anyone know what this means when both the sponsor and Permanent Resident are application received but neither have a decision made.

P.S. I had sent my documents to CPP-Ottawa as part of the pilot program.

Cheers,

kandel, agree. There is a saying in my language that can be trasnlated something like "Everything will come true. You ujust need to stop wanting it" ;D

however, if you see a 2009 applicant from India ( file in Ottawa ) getting it before a 2008 applicant ( file in ND ); then it's totally unfair but we haven't reached that point.

Just compare the time line.............We have already reached that point

Cheers,

I sent mine to Mississauga, but if you wonder what happen to me:
By the time I received the 'completed' letter, I can see both Sponsorship and Permanent Residence say "Application Received".
Sometime later, I see two lines. and 2.5 weeks later from the day the "complete" letter sent to me, my Sponsorship section changed to "Decision Made" and I received the letter of approval later that week.

So I think it means they're looking at your file and working on them. =)

Gaggidhillon, that's a great news!
I submitted mine with the Option-C for 2009, 10, and 11 because my status changed in 2011.
I read somewhere they would request 12-month income prior to your status change. So I submitted all the years.
(FYI, I am 2009 applicant, and I submitted 2008 with the initial application.)

Mine got processed fairly quickly, so now that they're working on yours, you will hear back from them fairly soon, too!!! =)

I also submitted the letter stating that I met LICO for every year - 2008, 9 and 10 for 3 people, and 2011 for 4 people.
That was just to make the job easier for them and just in case they look at my 2008 Option-C, thinking I am not qualified since I don't meet LICO for 4 people. (I had enough for 3, but not 4.)

Hope all works out for you!

Congratulations! The first step is done :)

That's not an issue. Immigrant Canada has staff shortage issue. I noticed sometime Ecas updates on Saturday. It will change to decision made in the next few weeks.
