cic is constantly changing the form... i ordered GCMS notes 3 times and every time the form was different...

I would not order physical file unless you are 100% sure you need it because it will take time to send the package from where it is to Access and Information Act department and back... so i would check the box for Electronic files + check options for Status of an Application + Reason for refusal + Permanent Residence... i think it won't hurt if you also select temporary residence if you want to see what happened when your parents applied for TRV...

i think that you need to provide as much info as you can - file number, your client ID, etc... i don't think they will be confused by your client ID... when i ordered FOSS for the first time i did not know my mother's UCI so i put mine and i got the notes...

i will receive my GCMS notes next week or early July - i ordered only Electronic filed this time - so i will tell what's included... Last time i also got copies of all documents that cic has (copies of my parent's passports, forms they completed, pcc, medical and even my mom's x-ray)...

Hey Shuga :
Iwant to submit a GCM request , i have 2 Questions :
we already did & signed the authorization of & Use of a Representative [IMM 5476] back in November 25 request , do we have to do "apply for it " again when we are asking for gcm notes .or as they were done previously. they might not be needed to be submitted again in the new GCM request, as i guess they already have that info in their system.
2) our file has two 2 adult "above 18 dependants" , & we understand that 1 request for GCM notes is needed for the whole family , but they"the children" didn`t authorize the Representative in IMM 5476 form back in Novemnber25 , request only my" dad & mum signed it" "the principal applicants & spouse " do we need to submit another Use of representative for the dependent adult children authorizing the sponsor again as their representative ..
thanx

Hi Shuga
Very intereseting your message.
I will order FOSS for my father. So it's better 1st time to order physical file? When you had copies of your parents documents did you order physical file?
no, i would NOT recommend ordering physical file... i ordered it because i was concerned about my parent's medicals... i waited for a month after medicals and the status was not being updated to "Medicals received' so i ordered a copy of medical file to see what's wrong... it worked for me - there was a request for additional tests that was not send to me but was in the file... i was able to print it and my mother started her re-medicals... but i believe that ordering physical file can cause delays so i would not recommend it unless you absolutely need it...

tell me , how we can contact LVO ND to confirm our file ???????????????????????????

You can e-mail ND LVO to confirm your address and e-mail in CIC's system. It could be typo if your e-mail in the system is incorrect.

PLEASE HELP ..I applied for my parents in April 2009

Parents and my brother as dependent 5 people I had just enough income to apply with my wife cosigne
but my wife lost her job end of 2008 and I'm like 500 short on my minimum income for 2009 .. would they let it go for such a small differance since i have more than enough for 2010 , 2011 and will have for future ?

2nd question .. my brother is not dependent anymore and will not be coming to Canada as he is married. so would they still looking for minimum income for 5 as orignal or FOR 4 as he is not included any more?

Thanks

Inform CIC of this change, if not already done. Attach a marriage certificate of your brother with date of marriage. A small difference of 500 dollars can be cause of rejection.

Your Application for permanent residence in Canada in the Family class was received at CPC-M
on "date " and has now been transferred to our office. Note: The application received is in
mm/dd/yyyy format. Please quote this file number in all future correspondence with our office.
Canada has a carefully managed and controlled immigration program that is committed to
maintaining a balance of 60% economic immigrants and 40% non-economic immigrants (family
class, refugees, and those in need of protection). Amongst non-economic immigrants, priority is
given to spouses/partners and dependent children.
We are currently processing other relative family class applications according to these time
frames, from the date the application is received in New Delhi:

Parents/Grandparents All Other Relatives
Confirmation of receipt of 3 months 12 months
First Review 9 months 36 months
Interview 43 months 44 months

As we proceed to review these cases, we will contact the applicants. In the meantime, we
recommend that clients check the website (www.india.gc.ca) for any changes. No purpose will
be served by writing to us to enquire on case status until the current situation changes.
While we understand the wishes of sponsors and parents to be reunited, and that longer
processing times can be frustrating for those seeking to bring family members to Canada, we
hope this information will help explain the delays that some are experiencing when sponsoring
parents, grandparents, and children to be adopted.
You should contact us only to provide IMPORTANT NEW INFORMATION such as a change in
your mailing address, a change in your family status or other information relevant to your
application. Although we will not acknowledge receipt of the new information, it will be noted on
your file.
Sincerely,

For my father is the same situation. Medicals delivered to Ottawa on May 17th, no update yet. I don't know what to do. How many time did you wait to have GMCS note physical file? Did you received it by mail or email? Thanks again.

They should look at min. imcome for 4 people. However, i do not know if they look at income for 4 people from the date of your initial application in 2009 OR from the date of your brother's marriage.

Inform CIC ASAP, before CIC takes any sponsorship decision on your application. Talk to their Call center and sned them fax ASAP. Also, send them all documents ASAP by canada post.

Shuga and rest who have ordered GCMS in the past, although from what I can gather..my GCMS notes seems very elementary. I am actually still trying to figure out a way to paste in word and remove personal info, its about 25 pages.

The best thing I found out was that my email was incorrect so I will never get any confirmation but hopefully they updated info via IM5476

So MEDS have not started, status shows as OPEN and in Inventory

Notes say: CPO FC4 Transferred Queue FQ4 to New Delhi <<<<<<< Whats this? FQ4?
Also, somewhere it said these things which I am still trying to figure out

TFR- Eligibility << ????
SPR- Eligibility << ????
Counter Foil required << I guess this is stamp on passport

Hi to all frnd its being 50 days since AoR from mississagua that they recevived our document no letter no e-mail CIC treat me as a special applicant they are happy tu delay for those who lost there loved one parents like me i am so much loose hope in this process

Just got of the phone with an agend and he told me that our file is now in Ottawa.
As I wrote here earlier, my sponsorship approval letter said the file is being transferred to LVO, but later when I called CIC call centre on another issue and asked whether file already arrived to LVO and the agent told me that it looked that our file was in transit to Ottawa. So, today i called again and another agent did confirm that the file is in Ottawa.

Not sure whether file actually ever went to LVO and then they changed their mind or somethign...I have never received anything from LVO or Ottawa.

Will order GMCS notes - may be they can enlighten me :-) Though it is going to take a month to wait for them ....

Too bad I sent the originals of police certificates to the LVO, hope they transfer them.

Thanks for good wishes, gaggidhillon! I wish you the same - I now your case seems to be really behind others for some reasons, sending you positive vibes, hope things turn for the better for you!

I am not getting my hopes up anymore... Looks like it is not going to be fast either way...

Those with cases in Ottawa: does Ottawa send any AOR? My understanding is that so far the next step is that they are sending an email with PCC request and medical (but no special AOR letter), correct?
