ARE YOU SURE???!!!
well... based on info from different forums - if additional tests are required then status is not changing to "medicals received" even if they are received... so i'm pretty sure you passed the medicals...

Wow, Shuga. That is quite something. Thanks! I really appreciate your continuous support on this forum. Good luck with your own situation.

thank you
my mom still does not have results from her additional medicals - will be done in mid July...

i'm surprised that nobody from Ottawa has received a visa yet... even those with medicals in February - March...

Have you tried to call the CIC agents ? They can assist you and provide additional information.

Yes, I called them, but they said that the parent's file number on the letter along with their information will not work untill the LVO (Ankara) start processing their application...

Is this really the case? I thought that it is supposed to work after we get the file number on the approval letter (that is what I understood from the other people experience....am I right??? so confused!!!

I know. It makes not sense. The challenge is to know where there is a pattern in processing and where it's simply not predictable...And there are just not enough numbers available via this forum to take a good look at the patterns in the LVO's. So, we'll just have to keep updating each other and hope for the best!

This is definitely not always the case. I first saw the file number for my parents' case (the one starting with F and then digits) when I received 'application complete and put in queue' email from Mississauga in late March (this was 2 weeks prior to receiving the approval mailed letter, which also containted the same file #).
So since that time I was able to login with my parents file # OR my UCI (both still work, but of course display info slighly differently)

By the way, I initialy had a problem logging in with my UCI until I realised they made a typo in my last name (looked at the old AOR letter) and tried to put that misspelled last name in the login screen instead of correct spelling. ANd it worked. I notified them about the typo a long time ago and apparently they fixed it in some places (as now all communication that I have got was with correct spelling). But for logging in with my UCI I still have to use incorrect spelling.

Maybe something was not entered correctly into the system and that is why you can not log in?

I agree - it is kind of disappointing (even though we are at LVO, it would still be nice to see some more progress overall and more visas issued...)

The problem is the information received from the CIC call center seems so inconsistent we don`t know which CIC Rep to believe so I recommend everyone take the name and employee # of each CIC Rep when you call and keep a log of what info. they provide you with...and keep handy so if later we need to complete a survey about the call center or file a petition we need these info. From my personal experience when I ask them for their info. they are more careful of what answers they give me and if they don't know the answer to a question they put the call on hold and ask someone rather than making up info.
make sense

Puffy,
Nobody really knows how long after that. At least in Vienna you have Teri's precedent.

My mom's e-cas has been update to "medical results...received" since May 11. However, they did not start processing her case. The status is still "Application Received." It is Ottawa though.

Don't worry, mine changed and I saw 'Medical Received' around end of april, and now I see "In Process' when I check, so you are not that far behind.

And to Puffy's question: After you see a "Medical Received" from what I have seen it means you have passed the medical stage. The line does not appear until you pass. I think that is correct, unless somebody else has a different experience.
