OMG after waiting 4 months, today my mother received an AOR in India that her file is transferred in New Delhi. Letter is dated May 1st 2012. I am surprised it took them to deliver almost month and half.... Letter is just a valid computer generated, simply explain the processing times to process application. Lucky those whose file got transferred at Pilot office in Ottawa. LVO New Delhi may complete the application for Parents in next 3.5 years.... so it looks like another long wait for me :(.... Waitting sine December 24 2007... >:(

Wow! in that case I should really throw my legs up and relax for the next 45 months. This means to sponsor parents it takes a grand total of 93 months or approximately 8 years.

48 Months from initial sponsorship to the time it takes for file to be transferred to LVO (in my case Singapore) + 45 Months sitting at LVO= 93 Months (7.75 years)

But this refers to the processing timeline for LVO NEW DELHI... It is different for LVO to LVO....

I think everything will bi ok. You are in the quote for 2012, so if your mother pass the medicals she will be in Canada this year.
Times in AOR are not relevant.
Be happy you received AOR, now your e-cas will start showing in process for your mother`s permanent resident application.
After that she will receive request for medicals.

Please see the following link for the quote for all LVO in 2012
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/ips/non-economic.asp

New Delhi (Processing time: 32 months) will approve 6000 parents' PR applications in 2012, which is more than all other LVO, including Beijing and Singapore Visa Office. Beijing (Processing time: 42 months) and Singapore (45 months) are Regional Program Centre, which are responsible for processing permanent resident applications for the other countries too.

Thanks for linking to the CIC quotas at the LVO's. Interesting, our home country target is very low.

What does it mean ? Is the Parents/Grandparents backlog issue in court ? Can you please explain .

no, it's about 900 skilled workers whose cases are in the backlog... not directly related to parents/grandparents... just a precedent... that it's possible to sue CIC and win...

http://www.thestar.com/news/canada/politics/article/1211698--ottawa-loses-legal-battle-over-immigration-backlog

About 900 applicants under the federal skilled workers’ program sued Immigration Minister Jason Kenney for violating the pledge to assess and finalize decisions in a timely fashion.

Immigration has until Oct. 14 to finalize the application of the case’s lead litigant, an IT project manager in China.

Although the court falls short on making an order for all 900 applicants, Thursday’s decision sets the stage for the prompt processing of the other litigants.

He says: from 168K to 151K since launch of Action Plan.
Well, this is about 10% reduction...

Will be very interesting to see the Q1 data by visa office (in July I guess)- this is where we will see the progress if any. The 'processing times' table by country (finally updated recently) did not really shed any light as it was based on past 12 months and the stats for LVOs actually looked even worse than before (but hopefully not relfecting the real times - if Teri's inspiring experience with the Vienna LVO is any indication)

Actually, tt depends of LVO. For example, for the LVO in Ankara the processing time got decreised from 26 to 19 months...

Anik,
my e-cas went through same changes as yours: first it was c/o (care of) and then my name but now c/o disappeared. Honestly, i don't think it means anything. They probably update and improve the system per se but it has nothing to do with our cases.

My one too. c/o disappeard. Anybody else face this ? just trying to understand if it's generic or not.
