I received the approval letter in the mail yesterday which is dated may 14th 2012
My parents application is goin to LVO whic is singapore! I hope the processing time will be faster with the new changes or something

my eCAS also has changed showing decision made for sponsorship application.
now hope i dont have to wait another 44 months for Singapore Processing :S

An update from my side. My file was transferred to LVO (Delhi) on March 8. Today I received an AOR. Here's the section that I found important and hoped to share with you all:

We are currently processing other relative family class applications according to these time 
frames, from the date the application is received in New Delhi:
                           Parents/Grandparents All Other Relatives
Confirmation of receipt of  3 months                 12 months
First Review                9 months                 36 months
Interview                   43 months                44 months

Based on the above, I assume the medical request will not come until the first review is done (Dec 2012?) That is - assuming an interview would not be required. Keeping my fingers crossed (against all odds) that CIC-ND would process files faster than their stated timelines!!!!!

Don`t worry Sakamath, in my AOR also was written 9-19 months especially the 9 months for the first review, I have got it on 3 April and my medical request I`ve got on 16 April. Only two weeks after.
Therefore I think that the processing times are not reliable in the AOR, it is only a regular AOR, not updated, not for the new processing times which nobody knows what are they now.
Anyway be happy!

Congrats to all of you whom decision was made for or even got the approval letter! That's such a reliefe...I am still waiting for decision made step...online just says application recieved...nothing new! :'( For the people who got the decision made in their online status I suggest to call CIC to find out the result instead of waiting for the mail to arrive...

I sent an e-mail to change my parents' mailing address. How do I know if CIC Ottawa changed it in file. I have not recieved any confirmation e-mail. Anyone ever changed their address when parents' file in Ottawa? Thanks!

we all have that in our decision made status so dont worry its more likely 99 % chance that u got approved as sponser. ;D cehck your mail box regulary everyday now, i got mine yeterday and it went to local vo ;D

Here is an example. The local visa office, Damascus, used to ask for proof of military service. I asked my brother to prepare the evidence but it was never asked by Ottawa office. It keeps me wondering if there would be a second round of document request by the LVO or what we have prepared so faris sufficient.

i agreed with you as well, what i understand is this the sponsorship approval is just to say that we fulfill the requirement of the income and relationship with our parents. parents without the dependent don’t need more information’s from the local like fulltime study and all that so most of those cases got forwarded to Ottawa( and most of those parents have visited to Canada before) parents with dependent needs more look in to it.
even though they approved as sponsor doesn’t mean that they looked at the dependent study information’s that closely and to get the authentications of the documents are valid or not so they need local knowledge on them. so local vo can ask further documents or proof from the parents and dependent to prove that they are fulltime student still and dependent. i highly doubt if they will ask something from parents accept like if they have doubt that doc submitted was not the right or something missing.
