Hi everyone, Im just wondering how do you guys know if the decision was approved?? in my e-cas it is only showing that there is a decision and they sent out a letter..

this is the exact e-cas status..

"We sent you a letter on April 25, 2012 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us."

Is this the same as everyone who's application was approved? im kinda paranoid as there is a change in my status and im kinda worried that my mom's application will be denied.

thanks in advance!

Hi, has that notice appeared under your name as a sponsor or under your Mom's as a sponsored person?

You will receive a letter with the decision very soon. In that letter they will mention what was the decision, and most likely it is going to be approval of your sponsorship (step one), which means they approved you as a sponsor and they will start assessing your mother as permanent resident.

So basically, be happy this is a good news :)

My file was transferred to LVO , but one of friend's file was transferred to Ottawa and her online status shows IN PROCESS -(Detailed Message)- We started processing you application on APRIL 25. Medical results have been received. That means they are doing the background check before issuing visa - not sure about it. For all of us whose files are transferred to Local Visa Office, is there anyone who got update?

Do you know your friend timelines - When file was transferred to Ottawa and when your friend submitted medical results and PCC?

I think it was 10 Feb for the file transfer and Medicals somewhere middle of March and PCC in first week of April.

This is a good news indeed (the letter from your local VO). At least some progress.
This is the second communication from your local VO for you, right? I can't remember if you mentioned receiving an AOR from them (the spreadsheet says that you did - in less than a month from transfer). Was your AOR from ND VO mailed or emailed? And this second letter that your parents got - it was postal mail, right?

Did you provide email? Are you are representative for your parents?
Also, for the maiiing address, did you provide your parents' mailing address or your own in Canada in the IMM008?

Interestingly, local VOs processes seem to vary: another board member, Teri, got a medical request from Vienna VO but they have not asked for PCC explicitly. For you, ND asked for PCC but not medical yet... Oh well..

Also wondering why would they ask for all pages of your Indian passport? Some local specifics?

Yes my parents received AOR via email in Feburary 2012 and now in April 2012, they received via mail. I did provide my parent's email and am not the representative for them. I did provide my parent's address as mailing address. I dont know why they are asking for copies of all pages from old Indian passport.

All,

Good news for people whose cases were transferred to ND LVO. My parents just received letter in mail requesting for PCC alogn with some additional documents required for un accompanifying adult dependent and also copies of all the pages from sponser's old Indian passport. Can some one tellmehow to attach a image file toposts

Congrats, is there any time limit to mail these, like ottawa had within 2 months?

They asked my parents to provide all that within 45 days. My parents already have PCC issued from ealry Feburary 2012.

To Singhnx,
Is there any dependant children coming in ur case or just parents

We have one non accompanying adult (my elder brother) listed on my aplication but to answer your question, there are no
dependents who will be coming to Canada along with my parents. It is just my mom and dad.

To Singhnx ,why they need additional documents for unaccompanying children ,what type of documents for ur brother they are asking ,my file transferred to new delhi on jan 26 and and i got AOR from Delhi Feb 14 and there is one dependant child in or case and his brother married in india he is non accompanying so will they need his additional info too???thats strange that they need info abt non accompanying person LVO wasting their time and our time .

They send my parents a form called non-accompanying child form. It has two pages. First page has name, dob, maritial status and education details along with current residence address.Second page has personal history details since age of 18,medical status (serious physical or mental disorder (Yes or No) and they are asking 2 passport size pictures.

Hi singhnx01 -If your elder brother is not going to come o Canada, why did you include him in the application?

In my case, I also have an elder brother as well living with my parents in India. I did not include my brother in sponsorship application, as he is not dependent on my parents. My brother is married and have kids. I just sponsored my parents. In my parents PR application also, my brother's name is just on Additional Family Information form (in children section).

Looking at the spreadsheet, Browneagle and sakamath should be next to receive something from ND. Have any of you received AOR from New Delhi? I am just wondering if this is one-off for signx or it will be 3 months since date of file transfer. New Delhi is not known to do it so fast, do we know of anyone else who received such request

Hi Singhx01
Congratulations! Have they asked for PCC for principal applicant only or for dependants as well?

Hi roozirooti so since you sent your documentson dec29 2011....you have not recieved any AOR or anything?

Hi Kandel, I haven't received any communication .....called couple of times with no information from agents except agent asked me to wait. I am planning to get the PCC done .....just to save some time....my question is do we need to get PCC for principal applicant (father) only or for principal applicant and other 3 dependats as well (mother and 2 children)?
Appreciate if someone advise.

In general, you and everyone in your family who is 18 years of age or over need to obtain a police certificate. You must obtain a police certificate from each country or territory where you have lived for six consecutive months or longer since reaching the age of 18.
