hello
can someone say me about imm008 in personal details about UCI which number we have to put should i put the client id or there is file number which one is that and where we can find that number ?
thanks

If your parents have applied before for visitor visa, they have UCI nr that can be found in the visa, it's 8 dixhit nr, in this form 0000-0000. If not, they don't have yet a nr, so don't write anything. When I filled the application, I didn't know this information and did not fill it, even though my mom had the nr in visa, and it didn't affect the application, they gave another nr when they approve the sponsor.

There are some suggestions about asking the DMP to send the Medical results to Ottawa. I think that won't neccessarily speed up the process, it may infact delay the process.
for now the facts are that those who sent medicals to Ottawa (even they are not in Canada) have their status changed to 'Medicals received' after less than a month... and i sent medicals to a regional office more than a month ago - no change in the status... so it does not sounds like sending medicals to medical office in Ottawa delays the process...

I have a questions regarding medical report Section A:
Do we need to fill "Contact Address/Person within Canada (name, full address and telephone number)" section?

it's blank in my parents medical form...
i think we can not fill in this form - only DMP can make changes to it...

Thank you Shuga. I assumed so, but just double checking.
Also, my parents mailing address in the form has few typos (not major), I notified these typos to CPP-O by email.
Can my parents go ahead with the forms (with typos) to undergo medicals. I assume we do not need to wait for CPP-O response on this.

sponsor's information goes here, unless you have other relatives in Canada.

CIC launched a public consultation on the redesign of the Parents and Grandparents Immigration Program. Sponsor our Parents would like to hear from you directly in order to represent, protect and promote the interests of all sponsors. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey and the result will be posted after it closes on May 31st.

Please fill this survey. Our opinions count. CIC is planning to charge $40000/parents fees for parent sponsorship. Also, CIC will extend sponsorship term from 10 years to life time. :(

Did any one whose case transferred to NEw Delhi VO, received request for PCC and medical?

Got my approval letter - local VO it is for us :( Disappointing...

Now I have to learn to stop checking ecas frequently as looks like it is going to be a long wait :( as so far no one had any progress with Local VOs...(unlike for Ottawa)

Have you already received acknowledgment letter from your local VO after transfer?
I have not seen anyone moving forward much with local VOs yet :( (unlike ottawa...) At most, some people got AOR email or letter after a couple of months I believe...

Hello Everyone,

I am new to this forum. I read few posts, seems very helpful. I sent my sponsorship application (co-signed by my wife) in November 2009 to sponsor my parents and received letter in December 2009 from CPC Mississauga that “they have received our application".

My timelines:
April 2012 - CPC asking for additional documents
December 2009 - Sponsorship Application Received by CPC- Mississauga
November 2009 - Sponsorship application sent to CPC Mississauga

While going through few posts I noticed normally Stage 1 was completed in approx 2 years. I am sure when I sent in my stage 1 application waiting time was not 51 months as it says now on CIC website. Can some one please advice, what timelines will be applicable for our application? Is it current one or the one at the time of application received?

Does anyone have a similar situation? I know it's just a beginning of long wait period.
Any feedback will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Jolly

Hi Anik

I have a question for you, do I have the option when filling in the IMM0008 to choose Ottawa versers VO, or not? I thought that if my mom is back home I have to go with VO, but if she is here in Canada I can choose Ottawa? Is that correct??
