Hi all folks
I checked my application status that I saw:
Sponsor person name:........
-Sponsorship application status: Application received: we received ur application on June 15, 2010.
-Permanent Residence application status: Application received: We received application for permanent residence on June 15, 2010.
So it means that the CIC received my application when we have submitted doc request on October 2, 2014. Right?
please correct me if I wrong.

CIC received your application on June 15, 2010. The documents submitted by you on October 2, 2014 will be checked and verified. If sponsorship criteria is met and all documents are in order, you will get sponsorship approval and your application will move to next stage of processing.

Do you mind sharing when did you mail the request docs? Did you mail to Mississauga through registered mail? Did you get any signature on the registered mail?

I mailed mine on Sept 30 with Canada post express courier with signature request. The tracking shows Canada post has successfully delivered the mail on Oct 2, but there is no signature that I can track online (not sure if it's because the address is a PO box), and I have no update yet on the CIC website saying when they received my requested doc. It is still only showing "application received on Nov 1, 2010" for both sponsorship application & permanent residence status. I just want to know if they really received my requested doc if possible, because my deadline is Oct 30 for submitting it according to the letter from CIC.

you will not see any update on cic.they will chack your documents if every thing is fine they will accept your sponsership and tranfur your file back home lov.its take 2 or 3 month

I also mailed on 30 with UPS service. I didn't see any signature when I track. So I called to UPS and they said the doucment delivery on Oct 2, 2014. I would like to know that the CIC really got our package as well.

If you mail your documents via UPS, Fedex, Canada Post Express Service, or any other courier service mail it the Courier address specified on CIC website. If you mail it via Regular Mail send it to PO Box address.

I am in same ship as you. I even requested GCMS notes this year. I think on website they are showing way more than supposed to . May be next year I am expecting request for additional documents. they are working on the files upto FEB 2011 right now.

same here applied on may 2011...so maybe next year received any kind of update
