bloomfield i received letter from CIC on jan 25,2012 which say i am approved as a sponser and accordingly file tranfer to local visa office new delhi

veeru41, did u receive this letter at your canadian adress. I am asking bcoz our indian adress has changed and i am changing it with CIC.

it says i'm approved as a sponsor
and my case was forwarded to CPP in Ottawa
the letter was send on January 31 - in the on-line status it said January 18

Congrats shuga,I'm still waiting for letter(I'm in west coast may be it takes more time).My on line status too same as yours.

CPP is a new pilot case processing center... no idea why some applications go to Ottawa and some to local office...

Congrats Shuga and Veeru41... Applications will be forwarded to corresponding embassy only if "local knowledge" is required. If not they will be processed from Ottawa. BTW: my docs received cpc-m on Dec, 21. Still waiting for the letter and online status update.

based on the oficial info from CIC bulletin only a portion of the applications - not all of them - will be forwarded to Ottawa... so some applications will go directly to the local office and some will go to Ottawa and can be forwarded to a local office if local knowledge is required:

Following file creation, the file will be assigned to an officer to review sponsorship eligibility. If found eligible, or if the sponsor has opted to proceed if found ineligible, the file will be forwarded to the relevant visa office for processing.

In keeping with CIC’s modernization agenda to move toward increased processing of applications from within Canada and with the implementation of GCMS, a portion of these FC4 applications will be processed from within Canada at the Case Processing Pilot in Ottawa (CPP-O). If at any time during processing it is determined that local knowledge is required, the file will be forwarded to the relevant visa office for processing and final decision.

Medical instructions will continue to be requested by the visa office or CPP-O.

not sure if Ottawa is good or bad... i wrote my canadian address as a mailing address in my parents application (not the address in their home country) - hope communication with Ottawa will be better than with the local embassy...

Hi,

I am new to this forum. I read few posts, seems very helpful. I sent my sponsorship application (jointly co-signed with my wife) in November 2009 to sponsor my parents and received letter in December 2009 from CPC Mississauga that “they have received our application but has not heard anything since then.

While going through few posts I noticed normally Stage 1 was completed in approx 2 years. I am sure when I sent in my stage 1 application waiting time was not 51 months as it says now on CIC website. Can some one please advice, what timelines will be applicable for our application? Is it current one or the one at the time of application received?

Does anyone have a similar situation? I know it's just a beginning of long wait period. Thanks in advance.

The want continuous school transcript for my brother since attaining age 22.

My brother was 19 (age locked-in), back in March 2008.

They should NOT ask me for that. He should NOT be required to be in school.

Anyone with a similar case.

ohh... thats terrible.... I am not sure how it works out with brother, but based on what you said they should have used some common sense instead of returning the application
