Hi everyone, Happy New Year and congratulations to those who have finally had their applications completed.

I did ask these questions months ago but today I contacted a CIC call centre agent who has left me more confused than ever. I sponsored my parents in 2011 and I have received confirmation that my application has been received. I know based on the response of others that I will not be hearing from immigration until perhaps the beginning of next year. I have maintained income in accordance to the requirements from previous years (the 30% increase not included). I was wondering if anyone knows what is the minimum requirement for three people for 2013. Is there an old rule and new rule or will everyone’s income evaluation be based on the current requirements.

You are still under old rule and just google 2013, 2014 LICO and maintain that for 3 people, thats all

Thank you @ user828. I spoke to three different agents, they sound as if they are in junior kindergarden. I got three different answers..none of which made sense :'(

Have they visited Canada before? if yes, then they do ask some for fingerprints for RCMP - unfortunately fingerprints from ND takes 3 months ( going by past answers )

In addition to that could you please send me the list of documents and forms or Link which I need to keep ready when they ask to submit documents. Also mine is initial phase but if you have some golden guidelines for any case till the end if you can share with all of us then it would be great.

here is one more twist , maybe visa was stamped on 6th or 7th of jan and vfs office recieved it on 8th of jan 2014 , but somehow we missed their call or mayb they didnt contact. moreover the cic agent who updates case information took time to update it, i chked our vfs passport tracking No# and it says:



Your Passport Status:

Processed Passport received at VFS Canada VAC Delhi on 08/01/2014. Following documents are required for collection of the Passport:
Original Invoice cum Receipt
Passport copy
Note: Should you wish to get your passport collected by your representative, you are required to handover a authority letter duly signed by you along with a photo Identity proof of your representative(i.e. Driving license, Passport, or PAN card).

now suggest me wat to do , should we collect this morning coz they have off on sat/sundays, n also how long these visas will be valid

LVO doesnt call all the time, if they do - its option to pick it up or get it mailed. Why don't u call VFS or go personally to VFS to check it out

I can feel your anxiety - it's a matter of one status change ( it changes your whole reflection on things, air smells better, things look brighter, faith in the system, miracle etc )

I am still tensed until I receive the passport and folks land

You know the funny thing about ecas is, I was seeing that In-Process for so long, the mind used to read that line all the time - so this morning, with my one eye open ( the 1st thing b4 doing anything is to check ECAS and then go to the bathroom )
So I opened the site, click my roboform toolbar to autofill and yet again see IN-PROCESS but I always click on it to see any change in comments. So nothing happened, and I went to wash my face and while brushing, I got this image that I read a decision has been made, we sent letter...I paused for like 2 secs and then realized, why would IN_PROCESS have words like decision made, I ran back to the PC and with my EYES WIDE OPEN, and the toothpaste dripping, I see Decision Made. I was shouting but no one could understand me, this was 6:30 in the morning, I really felt like slipping some brandy in my coffee but will buy a nice champagne buttle for this evening

My mother is in Canada Suin on super visa. My dad passed away 3 1/2 years ago. My mom and sister are on the application.

Thank you for your update. That is strange that they sent your application to the local visa office instead of processing it in Ottawa.
