...My Timelines:
Application Date: June 3, 2008
Additional Documents Submitted: Feb 13, 2012
AOR: March 29, 2012
...

Mohalite, are you on the West coast or East coast? I am still waiting and hoping for that mailed ' application complete' letter that you received already. Given similar timeline and 1 day difference in the AOR email that we both got, I was hoping for that letter to come soon after yours but nothing yet. Hoping that it is just the delay due to Easter holidays and maybe I am further west than you :) so mail takes longer... (one can only hope...)

Oh, I guess it is kind of good news/bad news (maybe they made a mistake about it being New Delhi - I know there were cases when agents told local VO but file got transffered to Ottawa in the end)

So unfair for the ones who get transferred to local VO :-( The queue order is already messed up and now with transfer to local VO many people who applied earieler will have to wait a long time again and end up way behind :(
Well the rep said "New Delhi" not Local Office so I am almost sure it would be New Delhi. I am the only son, my sister is married and she is in India, I don't know if having all or majority or children in Canada makes a difference. What kind of timelines can we expect from New Delhi?
Anik- I am in Toronto. I have not received any letter, just got off the phone with CIC.

Hi guys!

Thank you all for the posts. I learned a lot which should help me with the next stage of my application.

Anybody knows timeline from ME to getting a visa?

Thanks.

Hi everyone

I have two questions?
1- Is it mandatory thatwe provide PCC while sending the application, or we can wait for that till the visa office requests them?
2- If we are to send the PCC and the original is not in English, do we still need to translate that to English and get it certified, or CIC will accept it at native language?
Thanks

PCC is not mandatory before request but in some countries it take time to get it (in mine takes 1 month) I think when they request for it they give us 60 days. so its up to you to get it before or after request.

You should translate it to English if it is in native language.

Thanks Snspring

My mother whom I am sponsoring is an elderly lady, I can hardly find any info regarding her parents date of birth, or her brothers or sisters complete info, is it OK to just fill in as far as my and her knowledge, or this might lead to returning my document back by CIC??

Does anyone who had similar case know??

Thanks mohalite. I meant the 'application complete' letter that you mentinoed you received recently (following that AOR email we both received on March 29 and me on March 30). I have not got anything since that email but maybe it will come soon and it is just mailing delay :-)

Interesting that they have not updated your online status yet...For many people it seemed like their status changed to 'Decision made' before they got the approval/file transfer letter in the mail...
Their process is not very consistent I'd say...

I have not received any update either. I would definitely let the forum members know before I let anyone else know once I receive any update. It is already two months with no update or change in status.
