Notice – DNA Sample Collection Pilot Project

June 21, 2013 — Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) launched a pilot project in India (outside of New Delhi only) on May 17, 2013 to assess using the Panel Physicians network to take DNA samples, when required. Please take note that effective today, this project pilot is now being extended to New Delhi. DNA samples are sometimes used to establish a genetic link between parent and child for citizenship proof applications for children born through surrogacy. Panel Physicians are the same doctors currently authorized to conduct immigration medical examinations for CIC.

After the six-month pilot, CIC will assess the feasibility of using Panel Physicians to do DNA testing for citizenship proof applications for persons born in other countries.

hi do u receive dna call. I paid dna fee in canada, the letter shows that new delhi office will call us about sample.but now doctors are eligible for take dna sample.

No,not to the Nov batch. But I guess March Batch had to provide it.

Were you required to send just Option C? Do you know by chance whether it's possible to send a letter of explanation or an extra proof if income is not sufficient in Option C?

I don't have permissions to reply in personal messages so replying here. Yes My sponsorship is approved after I re-submitted the financial documents asked for, but parents still waiting for the visa.

I applied in 2008 yes that year I meet the LICO. Now in 2013 They asked for it again since I had 2 kids now and with my short term , long term receipts I submitted it in May 2013 and it meets the LICO again. I got a letter saying with your submitted proof of income documents your sponsorship is approved.
