I need some advice about applying for my parents' visit visa as they have expired PR and have no intention of living in Canada anymore. So we are Pakistani by nationality and I moved to Canada last year and was sponsored for PR by my husband who is a Canadian citizen, we are currently expecting and would like to invite my parents over for the delivery. We are currently in between jobs so don't have the means to sponsor my parents and they would fund their own trip. They have valid US visit visas. My dad is retired but my mother has her own business and they own property in Pakistan as well as care for my special needs sibling back home (he's 34) which I think are strong ties for returning home. We used to have PR status as a family and briefly lived in Canada in 2005 but left because we couldn't adjust to life here. My dad renewed his PR during COVID but couldn't come collect it until 2022, when he tried crossing by land border he was questioned by CBSA and given 30 days to appeal their decision which he decided not to pursue and returned back.
Now my question is that how do I go about applying for their visas? I don't know if their applications would be rejected straight away due to their PR status or they would be given the chance to renounce their PRs to continue the application. Also how do I make the application for their visas stronger for increased chances of approval?
