Hi,
I have received PCC letter Request as below.
Police Certificate: The principal applicant and their dependant family member (if applicable) must provide police certificates from:
•
Their current country of residence if they have resided there for 6 months or more, and
•
The country where they have spent most of their adult life since the age of 18 (if different than current country of residence).
Your relative is required to obtain the police certificate from that country’s law enforcement authorities. Please send a copy of the original police certificate to this office as soon as they receive it. Follow these instructions to ensure you provide the correct police certificates: www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/index.asp.
Methods of Submitting Documents
Please only submit the requested information and documents via one of the following methods:
•
Submit your documents via IRCC secure account (MyCIC) at www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/account.html.
•
Additionally, you may send the requested information/document(s) via the IRCC webform at https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/contact-ircc/web-form.html.
just have few questions:
1) why is it asking to "your Relative is required to obtain the PCC" ?
2) my parents are here in canada on supervisa. so i guess, i need to take canadian PCC as well. any suggestion how to get it?
3) for Indian PCC, i guess they need to go on BLS (correct me if i am wrong). any suggestion how to get it through BLS as well?

Oh, Are you sure? because they have mentioned that in letter that, "Their current country of residence if they have resided there for 6 months or more". my parents are here in canada since last 2 years on supervisa.
Sorry I got confused. You required PCC for canada on supervisa.

I am sponsoring my mom and had submitted a birth certificate in Hindi along with a letter of explanation and passport copy - the certificate does not even have my name (just says boy) and has my fathers name but not mothers name on it.
They have sent back a letter requesting birth certificate/proof of relationship. I can get it translated but I'm wondering if it will be accepted - since it does not even have either of our names on it. It does have my dads name and we have submitted marriage affidavit. Is there any other document we can use to prove relationship?

On AOR, I was asked to submit Police certificate for my father in law being sponsored by my wife. Since i am authorized representative therefore i had submitted the PCC and have received acknowledgement from IRCC. But i am unable to check the status of the application. Anyone have idea who to do that?
