Yes, I would say that. I kept getting calls every other week providing me updates on the case and even asking me to provide updates for the 2nd PCC.

That seems a bit excessive and not the best use of office staff resources. There is probably a happy medium.

Here is a question for you folks. My parents are in Canada on a regular visitor visa which is expiring at the end of July this year. They currently have two applications in process with the IRCC i.e. 1) their PR application under PGPP 2023 2) their super visa application which was applied right before they left their home country and came to see me. Now my question is, with two applications in process and their current visa coming to expire by July end, could they get the implied/maintained status until 1 of their applications with the IRCC is processed? OR, does that not apply here? If not, why not? Curious. Also, could they apply for a visitor record? I will appreciate whatever you guys can share. thank you!

Curious to know. I believe implied status only applies if you have put in a renewal/extension application for current visit visa on which they are legally staying in Canada and entered Canada. Then they can be on implied status as long as the application is under process. I could be wrong hence curious to know

Hi, I had some question for my parents PGP application. I received a correspondence after almost 11 months from IRCC requesting the 3 items below:
  1. Police Certificate,
  2. IMM5546 - Military Record Form
  3. IMM5536 - Client Information
Biometric done, medical done. this is the latest request.

Questions:
  • I believe this letter is an additional document request letter. Has anyone else previously received similar communication in their case?
  • Also - my parents never served in military and nor was there any such mandatory service requirements. How do I fill the form IMM5546 (as letter indicates to show proof of exemption if did not serve).?
  • I submitted police certificates last year. Do I re submit that or get new one issued?

right? its kind of unclear. also could they apply a visitor record? is it only applicable when a 6 months max time is coming to expire and one could apply for an extension? or does that also apply when the visa itself is expiring? I couldn't find the answer anywhere on the IRCC website as it doesn't specify expiry vs. 6 months duation etc.

If they entered with normal visitor visa, they can stay for 6 months since entry date.
Apply for visitor record/extend their stay before the 6 months is up.
Neither does the super visa nor the PGP 2023 application will give them implied status.
