Yes, I would say that. I kept getting calls every other week providing me updates on the case and even asking me to provide updates for the 2nd PCC.
Curious to know. I believe implied status only applies if you have put in a renewal/extension application for current visit visa on which they are legally staying in Canada and entered Canada. Then they can be on implied status as long as the application is under process. I could be wrong hence curious to knowHere is a question for you folks. My parents are in Canada on a regular visitor visa which is expiring at the end of July this year. They currently have two applications in process with the IRCC i.e. 1) their PR application under PGPP 2023 2) their super visa application which was applied right before they left their home country and came to see me. Now my question is, with two applications in process and their current visa coming to expire by July end, could they get the implied/maintained status until 1 of their applications with the IRCC is processed? OR, does that not apply here? If not, why not? Curious. I will appreciate whatever you guys can share. thank you!
right? its kind of unclear. also could they apply a visitor record? is it only applicable when a 6 months max time is coming to expire and one could apply for an extension? or does that also apply when the visa itself is expiring? I couldn't find the answer anywhere on the IRCC website as it doesn't specify expiry vs. 6 months duation etc.Curious to know. yes, they asked about items/things to followHI All,
Has anyone's parents landed yet? Can you please share your experience with immigration officers like what did they ask?
Thanks!
If they entered with normal visitor visa, they can stay for 6 months since entry date. Here is a question for you folks. thank you for your response. that's what I thought. One follow up question - could they stay here for up to 6 months even if that is beyond the validity of their visa? their visa expires at the end of July this year. Their 6 months is in October this year. My undersanding is one can never stay beyond the validity of the visa but I have been reading different things and apparently visa is only the "entry" to the country and the "stay" can be up to 6 months even if it is beyond the validity of the visa. What do you think? anyone else?If they entered with normal visitor visa, they can stay for 6 months since entry date.
Apply for visitor record/extend their stay before the 6 months is up.
Neither does the super visa nor the PGP 2023 application will give them implied status.
