I am sponsoring my mother (widow). Do I need to attach IMM 0008DEP form. I think no. Can anyone please confirm?

No you do not need to submit the IMM0008DEP form. It is required if you parent has more than 5 dependants.

Did anyone used priority shipping via Canada post to send your documents . Asking to check if I can ask for signature on delivery . As the address was a P.O. Box ,was wondering if they will sign .Please advice

Yes i used the xpresspost service. You will get a copy of receiver's signatures. And it was delivered the next morning.

You don't have to provide any travel info if it the stay was less than 6 months. This will confuse them.

Please do not provide any information without an official reference.

The guide said there should not be any gap in any history, be it travel, education or PA's address.

Does CIC acknowledge and give some reference number.? If yes, how many days after they receive the package? Appreciate your replies to calm my nerves! This has been 6th year for my attempt to apply

Yes. They do. Typically it takes 4-6 weeks. But considering the volume of applications, it might be little longer as well.
If you have mentioned your email address, you will receive a pdf on your email saying your application is received and it is complete.

Hello Folks, In Generic application form for applicant, (question 2- have you used any other name alias.).. is it ok to fill the entries using multiple prints...Example my mothers maiden name and married name

although the names are same they have a letter missing in one as compared to another, thus it is coming to
Maiden name -
Spelling 1
Spelling 2

Married Name
Spelling 2 - as spelling one is already part of the main form.

Can I just fill the section and attach as 2 prints to the same form.

question - I (as my father) have middle name but my mother do not have middle name in her passport. But on my birth certificate, there is middle name for my mother. But her passport has first name and last name. Should I get my birth certificate attested (notary) by local lawyer here in Canada?
