Hi. I need some help for my unfortunate situation.

I applied to PGP 2018. My parents got their medical done in Dec 2018. The doctor gave them a heads up after the exam as my dad’s chest x-ray was not looking ok. Unfortunately in Jan 2019 my dad got diagnosed with a terminal cancer – diagnosis was done by other specialists not the panel physician.

After medical submission, my parents got a letter asking my dad to do some extra exams. They got the same letter again a few days ago but this time it says it’s a final reminder. To fulfill letter’s requirement my dad has to make multiple trips to another town where the panel physician is, as there is no CIC panel physician in their home town, and he is unable to do so.

At this point I know they will be medically inadmissible even if he completes the extra exams. And they themselves don’t want to immigrate to Canada anymore as it is more convenient for them to complete the treatments in their home country.

My question is what is the best way to deal with this situation? I don’t want to do something wrong that may affect their chances of getting a regular visitor visa later if they want to just visit me. These are my scenarios:

1. Ignore everything and let CIC refuse their application.

2. Withdraw the application and explain everything including his illness.

3. Withdraw the application without mentioning his illness.

Any suggestion is really appreciated and sorry for the long post!

My mom just got a medical done January 2019 for supervisa extension. I've got the medical report from the panelphysician. How do I let IRCC know I would like to use that medical? IRCC Web form is ok?

If you get IME request before Dec 2019 you can use that result, you cant force CIC :)

You can do medical anywhere in world with a penal physician, my parents are here I got their medical done here in Canada. So don't worry on sending them back home to complete their medical, as soon as you receive the request for medical do book an appointment with any of the listed doctors from CIC website in Canada. Hope this answers your question
Hi,
Thanks for clarification.
Also, younger brother is also included in Application as Dependent. But he will not be in Canada, he will be back home in Pakistan.
Can it be like that I can get y parents medical done here in Canada but my brother gets his medical done in Pakistan.

Thanks,
ZeeShan

Just let CIC know through webform. I was in similar situation and explained to CIC that previous medical was still valid and they considered that.

Am still waiting for sponsorship approval. Second Round applicant , file in process Jan 28. Don’t know why it takes so long. Anyone else waiting for sponsorship approval?
Same here, AOR approved on January 17 and have yet to hear about sponsorship approval. I called about a month ago and they guy said there was nothing new on my file, and no new notes. I dont know what is going on...maybe the backlog has picked up again...

Sorry to hear that. It’s very hard to deal with things like that.

Go with option 2. Letting the application to fail is worse than voluntary withdrawal. Option 3 is not good either because CIC will find out about his conditions if they don’t already knew. Willfully omitting information IS the ground for visa refusal, where as voluntary withdrawal for medical reasons is NOT.

Be upfront and explain the situation in your withdrawal request. You also need to keep in mind that visitor application puts emphasis on the visitors, not the host. PGP on the other hand is mostly on the sponsor and some on the applicants. They won’t refuse visitor visa due to his illness. But, they will refuse visa if they feel that the visitor is coming here for medical attention or could not provide sufficient funds to support themselves.

Hi Yulia, please update my timeline.

Called CIC and they issued AOR around Jan 15 ( i did not receive the email).

Linked application to CIC account, current Status: "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility."

Thank you

Am thinking to apply for GCMS notes. Let’s see if they have specific to say.
