Mine has exactly the same situation as yours and as suggested my father-in-law submitted passport in India and my mother-in-law submitted in Canada on Dec 8th. Just submitted the passports with a cover letter explaining the reason for submitting in Canada.
Haven't heard anything yet. Please let me know if this is within the timeline or we should already be getting the passports back.

Hi @yamprak - I haven't recieved my in-laws passport back yet.I am hoping to get my father in law's passport in another two weeks from VFS India/ Canadian High Comission, New Delhi. Since it's holiday season for Canadian, I have added a long wait time even in India.
For my mother in law - I am not going to ask them before jan or early feb. I read at some other forum that within Canada if you have submitted your passport. They easily take 4-5 weeks. Plus my submissions conlicted with holiday season so there will be more delay.
I am keeping my fingers crossed, in case we got lucky and recive the passport early.
I will keep you posted if i recived any of the passport

Hi, one question when completing the Form5748, in the question 3 e) when they asked if I received Employment Insurance: last year I was on maternity leave. Is that amount Employment Insurance and should be completed there?

Hi All,

We received Medical and PCC request for my mother-in-law (PGP-2018).

We have got the PCC from regional passport office.
We received a medical form (IMM 1017E) in email which we gave to the physician, and we have completed the medical at a panel physician's office. they said the medial form + result will be submitted by them directly to IRCC.

What should be the next step for us?

Should we scan and send the PCC in email, we do not have any proof of medical exam since the clinic does not provide and receipt of completed medical or results?

Was anyone here asked for biometrics? My parents are 68 and 67. The biometric info page of CIC says that if you are between 14-79, you have to give biometrics. They gave biometrics before for their supervisas. Is there a place inside Canada where they can go give their biometric if they are required. They are here visiting me on supervisa but their LVO is London. Pakistani nationals.

I am sorry i dont know about Biometrics, but can you tell me were you in round 1 PGP2018?
