I got a letter for pre arrival services, just wondering if this is a requirement? Coz my parents are here in Canada since 2014, under supervisa.

Mostly for the convenience of new immigrants. No mandatory action required.

1 year from Medical test completed at doctor's clinic.

1 year from the date of medical exam. You always have the option to land while the visa is valid then return to take care of pending items.

Hi Yulia, Update from my end,

"We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information."

Amusing fact, I was waiting since long for BC to start and got frustrated enough and decided to send the PCC over email to CPC Ottawa, hoping that while filing that PCC to my application,agent might see my file left in corner for no reason and will start the BC.

And Voila ! Just after two days of sending my PCC, my BC started.

So now expecting the request for IMM5562 or PPR....fingers crossed.

Ooo it's definitely a requirement. IRCC says your parents are NOT in Canada. It's your word VS them. Who is right???

It is not a requirement. It’s a free service to make you integration easier. Even if they are here, they can learn the language for free, or if they are youger, can help prepairing for jobs etc. They are not saying they are not here. They are saying hey can take advantahe of a free service. Stop misinforming people

yes, BLS is not good at all. They always mess up with stuff. I had hard time even when i applied for passport renewal. It took forever for me to get passports back, but this time I have time limit of 30 days and I don't know what to do.

I don't know about you but when I received the PCC request from the HKVO, they said that if we could not obtain the PCC in time, we only need to prove that we have applied for it, meaning any kind of receipt, or something, and then mail it in afterwards. Check the email/letter you received. It may have specified that as well.
