Parental sponsorship: Credit card charged but nothing else

Hi all,

I applied to sponsor my parents this year. My application arrived at CIC at 10:46am on Jan 4, 2016. On March 29, my credit card was charged but there hasn't been any update from CIC since then. No acknowledgement letter, case number, or anything else.

Is this normal?
