PARENT SPONSORSHIP 2014

HELLO ALL,

I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE SOME INFORMATION ON THE PARENTS SPONSORSHIP 2014.

WE ARE 2 IN CANADA ( ME AND MY SPOUSE). SHE WILL NOT BE CO-SIGNING THE APPLICATION BEACUSE SHE JUST ARRIVED THIS YEAR ON SPOUSE VISA.

THE LICO AMOUNT THAT I NEED TO PUT FOR 3 FAMILY MEMBERS IS : 45,040 ? CORRECT ?

ALSO IF IN ANY OF THE PREVIOUS YEAR, THE NOA AMOUNT IS LESS THEN THE LICO AMOUNT, I AM NOT ELIGBILE TO APPLY ? KINDLY LET ME KNOW.

You must meet all three years' Minimum Necessary Income requirements. Also including your wife, your dad and mom you will be looking at figures for 4 persons and not 3.

Im confused about the payment. Ill be sponsoring my mom. Is it $75 for the fee?

Where will I categorized her, Sponsor which is $75 or principal applicant which is $475 ..?

You must met the minimum requirement for 2010, 2011 and 2012 for 4 people. You, your spouse, and your 2 parents. CIC will not let you count only your mother if your father is still alive. Unless your father has passed away, only then you can count 3.

You may have to add your children to the count if you have any as well as they are your dependents thus must met the higher requirement.

1) Is it fine to submit 2011,2012,2013 Tax Instead of 2010,2011,2012 I dont meet the 2010 requirments. (I can submit my application directly after finishing the 2013 TAX with CRA next month)

2) I couldnt really understand how much we have to pay .. it is 75$ + 475$ + 2 * 550$ (for 2 parents) = 1650$?

My understanding is if you are just sponsoring your parents, the cost will be $75+$475(principal applicant)+550(1 dependent).

Regarding the tax documents, I don't think the 2013 tax document (T4 or Option C) is available yet?

Don't think you can use the 2013 tax for 2014 as 2013 taxes are not processed and CRA reports are the only forms accepted. How can CIC accept 2013 tax assessment if there are none processed yet as of Jan 2.

So if you do not met the requirement of 2010, you would have to wait until 2015 in order to use 2011, 2012 and 2013 for qualifications. The 2014 parent sponsorship guide does spell out 2010, 2011 and 2012 income requirement for 2014 applicants.

By the time you receive your 2013 tax notice of assessment, the 5000 cap for new applications will be reached and the parents program will be closed. So you will need to wait until they re-open the program again.

Most likely the 5000 cap will be reached by next week sometime.

Yes I am aware of that .. Thats why I am wondering if it can be used once CRA Reports are available by mid-February..

The problem is that you don't know what's the minimum income requirement for 2013 is yet.

Due to the popularity of the parents/grandparents sponsorship, the people who have the income qualifications for 2010, 2011 and 2012 will apply as soon as possible before applicants who have 2011, 2012, 2013 requirements. I have a feeling that it will following similar to school requirement, child must turn 4 before Dec 31 rule. Those who can't met the 2010 income requirements, will have to wait for the following year for apply despite 2013 income qualification for 2014. In other words, 2010, 2011, 2012 for 2014 applicants. 2011, 2012, 2013 for 2015 applicants, and so on.

Ya that sucks ... I agree with u .. looks like this is the case .. I hope at least there will be a proper update on the CAP left on weekly basis .. so we can know whats going on.

On top is the wait time, there are still lots 2008/09/2010 and half of 2011 apps to be filled, with 20K a year, looking at 5 years easy as the new apps dont get special queue

hi i have a couple of questions Can i apply my brother who is in canada?.he is a international student?
And another do have to be 3 consecutive years income for him....>
I just want to apply for my brother as my parents are not willing to come.will apply super visa for them..
