I have the big butterfly paperclips separating the different documents and sections. Do they dispose of these before they review the application? Should I just be using them for my convenience at the time of putting the application together, and remove them before I send it?

As far as I know, they remove all clips when they receive the application. We sent ours with paper clips, but it was for our own organisation rather than theirs.

I read somewhere you should not include metal things on the application. Can't remember the source of the info though. Did not include in my application just in case... ;D

If you dont use paperclips, other clips, or staples then how would the pages stay together? How about bubble gum? :)

Your pages don't need to stay together. They can organize it themselves.

It all gets scanned to an electronic file anyways.

I was told not to staple anything. So I used a ton of paper clips.

It doesn't matter if you use paper clips, or foldback clips or even use staple wire for the forms. I don't think they would mind such petty things.
I think what's important to them is you have completed, signed and dated the forms together wih other supporting documents. And have paid for all the fees for faster processing.

:) :) :)

No clips. Just put your probably 200page application in an envelope and send. The VO takes or all apart anyway

I used paperclips and had no issues with my application. I preferred to send it in a way that made it as easy as possible for the person processing it to see at a glance that I'd included everything I was supposed to and that nothing was missing.

As someone who works in a boring office all day, I'm pretty confident that if I was the worker who'd received my application, I'd have been very happy at how easy it was to sort/read/file/copy/process! :)
