I got my COPR about 2 weeks back but my status is still showing 'in process'. What is the importance of this ecas status now? Is this status also visible to the immigration and other officials who will grant permission at the airport.

When we enter into canada, the officials would do certain online checking to verify the visa. What kind of information does he rely upon. As I understand, the information system, for his online checking, would be same for them and us however access to information would be given in a different manner.

Thus, should I send another inquiry to them to correct my status on ecas (to avoid any delay/surprise at the airport) or is it meaningless now?

I think this will not effect now as I read some where one person landed long back in Canada but still his e case showing in process..

Don't worry about eCAS status at all. You should have no worries now that visa is issued.

you're good to go. Once you enter Canada, you will be a permanent resident of Canada.
Immigration officials will update the system, and at some point eCAS will change to "Complete".

Just make sure you give the officer your Canadian mailing address for the PR Cards.

ecas status is only for you... CIC sees a lot of information on their computer, including the details of your COPR like Document ID (same as your visa) and client ID (will be your PR number).

Please be informed that "E-Cas" that is visible to us is updatedby the "Great Clerck Badshah"
On line status that immigration sections / officials check is different from , and general public has no access to that. In that web portal , your pictures , thumb impression , signatures etc all appear

Dear Mate

You need to quote your File Number on Return label , that is important.

Visa office traces information , for visa stamping with reference to your passports , and do conduct "Extensive Quality Checking" before issuing COPR

Thanks dear. i have quoted the file number on photographs backside and on Return label...As in normal and mostly cases they take one week to stamping the visa, As it has been about 14 days to send passports so i was worried that if i have missed something to send so therefore causing delay.

I got PPR finally from ADVO, but didnt yet get medical form for my daughter yet ... should i ask them to send her medical too ?

can anyone tell how are infants examined medically ? she is 2 months old at the moment

They did not stick photographs on CORP client copy. :O would it not be any issue ?... dont know have they forgotten to stick on client copy or intentionally not stick. ?
