just send them the Pakistani licence...all they need to verify is yours year of experience....your international licence and verification will ease the process. Pakistani embassy simply took three hours to verify my experience here in Toronto...i had all my documentation done in Pakistan.

Thanx buddy! so now I am sending them my Pak licence and its verified copy alongwith with processing fee draft and application form.

its 21st September brother.. am packing n packing n packing + panicking like seriously yaar! lost two weeks in high fever n flu.. wasted so much time.. 4,5 days for international driving license + verification certificate.
anyway.. Allah may help me to get through this.

1 question for you.
after landing at Montreal we need to change for Air Canada. Do we need to collect the booked luggage and book it again for Air Canada or we will get that at Calgary Airport?

If we have valid license from middle east, that will be accepted ? somebody told me they ask for license from country of origin, and do we need to get that attested from that embassy ?

It is to be mentioned on your ticket. What they have told me is; you only need to identify your luggage at Montreal and it will be managed by the airline then, you will get them on Calgary.. as its booked from Karachi to Calgary already.

Your allowance differs due to Air Canada involvement.

True.. I then booked my flight from Qatar Airways and they allowed me TWO baggage from Khi to Calgary.

ya you have to book your luggage again and ...........Air Canada !!!! services is not good as they don't give any food ........
And their is very much chances of missing flight of Air Canada as your landed in Montreal they immigrate you and they will take time as i know my friend last month came from pakistan his flight miss their !! so you have to arrange your self .

I think CIC is first issuing PPR-1 to late MI-1 2008 and 2009 applicants and then they will issue PPR-1 to MI-1 2010 applicants. This is my assessment. Waiting for others to comment on it.

Hi friends,
Have landed safely in Calgary and now just setting in.
Temporarily staying with my relatives and hope to get my place soon.
Just a quick question:
I have my Pakistani as well as Intl driving licenses alongwith their NOCs and their copies duly verified my ministry of foreign affairs.
BUT
here Canadian licensing authority has asked me to get the verification again from Pakistani embassy. I explained them about the available verification but they (due to some recent fake cases) are no more accepting verification from Pakistan and advised me to get it done from Vancouver.
Now question is do I need to send my Intl license OR Pakistani license for verification OR both.
If both – should I send separate fee for both?

this is not a good news .........as when i came to canada i drive 3 months as my pakistani license is 12 years old and they don't verify my license and said me that you can drive 3 months ........so i drive ........in the mean while i pass knowledge test and pass my road test .....so now i have class 5 driving license .
Driving test is not a easy test .......!!!
