URGENT urgentdear all, please tell me how to submit passports to Canadian High Commission Islamabad. I am in Rawalpindi. Normal TCS or something else. PLEASE RESPOND URGENTLY.

Just go to TCS branch in Saddar RWP.... they will give you a special Visatronix envelope.... just put your passports and address label in that envelope and post to Canadian High commission Islamabad... Fee is Rs. 350...

Hi All. Got the following reply to my CSI that I sent yesterday. I am a Feb 2010 applicant and I did my medical on 23rd of May 2013. I asked them whether they have received my medicals or not and what is the current status of my application.

""Thank you for your email regarding your application for permanent residence to Canada.

We have now received the documents and the medical examination results that we requested from you. Your file (########) is currently undergoing final background checks.

Please be advised that this can be a lengthy process, we will be in contact when there have been further developments with the processing of the file. ""

So what does this mean? When am I going to get PPR? Any experts?

In June 2013 I inquired about my my application status from LVO, they stated that:

“Background checks are outstanding and these may take several months to complete. We will advise further when in a position to do so”.

I sent another email and asked from LVO that, You mean background checks are not yet initiated? Or You are awaiting the results of routine background enquiries? when I can expect my application to move forward to the next step? They replied that:

They are in process. Each case is unique and it is not possible to provide time frame estimates as you request.

And my Pakistani police certificate is expiring on 03 September 2013, should I apply for new one?

I think they initiated background checks in May 2013

Dont prepare new pcc until they request, because new pcc will cover the duration of expiry of old to the date of their new request.

Actually if someone background check is in process and the applicant has not passed criminality till that time then the applicant may receive following email from LVO,

Please be advised that we require an updated police certificate. The document on file is dated June 2012 and is therefore no longer valid. Please submit the police certificate as soon as possible.

We will proceed further with the processing of your file as soon as the background check has been completed and the police certificate has been received.

Again... if during background checks police certificate is expired and applicant didn't send updated police certificate before final review then applicant will get updated police certificate request which will further delay his case for 3 to 4 months because LVO states that, Please allow four months for us to review incoming correspondence.

My Police ceritificate was issued on 3 september 2012

If i apply now i will get till the end of August 2013 ((because without bribe pakistani police don't work)

And I can send it in september 2013, just an effort to avoid further delay
