Problem : My spouse passport is going to expire on 15th Oct 2013 my medical date was 19th Feb 2013:

Is this requirement is only for maximum visa validity or passport must be valid for 12 months.

I already applied the passport for her but due to situation in pakistan passports will take some time and LVO gave me 30 days to submit the passport

Please guide me should I send the same as I am intended to travel in July 2013.

Problem : My spouse passport is going to expire on 15th Oct 2013 my medical date was 19th Feb 2013: You w'd enter canada before this date ,not only your spous's visa w'd expire but all accompanying member's would expire on that time

Is this requirement is only for maximum visa validity or passport must be valid for 12 months.
Surely it is for maximum validity but 6 month expiry is mandatory

I already applied the passport for her but due to situation in pakistan passports will take some time and LVO gave me 30 days to submit the passport. If you have applied for new pp then your previous has been cancelled then only option is to request VO for extension of date

Please guide me should I send the same as I am intended to travel in July 2013.
If your intention to travel is in July and your PP has not been cancelled then you could travel in existing PP , being on safeside you would write you plan and situation to VO

I already send an email to LVO and got below reply

If visas are issued on current passports all expiry dates will be 15 October 2013 due to expiry of your spouse's passport.

If you intend to all travel in July 2103, it would not matter, but your spouse would have to use the old passport which contains the issued visa. If she obtains a new passport before going to Canada, all visas then become invalid.

We can allow additional time to submit passports if required.

Now question is this that passport expiry from date of medical is more than 6 months and from today its less than 6 months.
Secondly I already applied for the passport it will come by end or mid of june 2013 some where what should i do in this case .

The passports were delivered 15 days after the PPR2!

Also my Ecase status changed to decision made 12 days ago!

Best option

Apply for extension of PP Submission date, wait for your wife new passport. You can easily wait as your meds were done in feb. so be patient. Just 2 months waiting time would save a lot of mess

Never send your wife's current passport as u already have applied for her renewed passport. I was in same situation, done meds in Feb, got PPR-1 in March. My old passport was expiring in Oct & I applied for renewed passpport in Feb after Meds. I wrote VO after PPR-1 that can I submit my old passport as I am intending to land before OCt, and they replied that I've to wait till arrival of my renewed passport as visa on old passport will get expired once I receives renewed passport.

Therefore, I have waited around 1 & a half month & then submitted copy of my renewed passport.
