Any ways, here is related reply from Visa Officer to my query,


Please see our previous response:

If your passport is renewed, the visa in older passport would no longer be valid. We will allow additional time for you to submit the new passport copy.

The passport office cannot provide you with advice on Canadian visa validity. Please do not submit this current passport, but wait for the new passport to arrive and then submit at that time.

The plain reading of the text says that if u have applied for the passport and didn't receive it so far then you better do not send the current passport because

2) if you get a new passport then you must have to travel on the new passport and the old passport on which you have got the visa will become invalid.
So without having the question which you have asked from the Visa Office i assume that their reply is not related to the renewed passport by manual stamping by Passport office.

Dear Fellows,

Harmony Please, I think Novie is right their is a bright chances that your VO did not understand the actual situation, because this is very unusual situation here in Pakistan and in normal world this is not the practice once the passport expire you will get the new one.
I am sure Phdmaker have explained him the situation very clearly and may be the VO did not get the actual picture.

Another thing is if they are stamping the passport with new expiry date then what is the new validity period and how you will get re validate your passport if its valid for next one year or two???
Then how you will get the Visa if they will not stamp the visa on your new stamped expiry date old passport???
Please discuss this topic because this is a very hot issue of our country and I believe lot of people may face this problem.

Yes, u have raised a valid point. I also did take up same validity of current passport issue with stamping passport office officials that after when I receives renewed passport then how come my two passports remain valid at the same time for any visa stamping. Literally, they replied with annoyance that this is not our issue but yours. This is really uneven situation that a person has two valid passports at the same time. Further to add that stamped expiry extension of my current passport is for five years i.e. upto 2018 :-X

On the other side, I have come to know that now a days urgent app. for passport is taking 50-60 days waiting time, whereas, normal app. waiting time is around 5 months !

Just for information:

As I posted earlier---Visa officer sent me PPR2 on 21st March skipping PPR1 step.However, I had applied for renewal of passports on 8th March. I sent old passports to Islamabad office but ,as per expectation, Islamabad office returned passports mentioning that these passports are no more valid and visa will be stamped on renewed passports.

Yesterday, I received PPR1 from London visa office asking copy of renewed passports within 45 days.

Another case of not accepting old passport (with valid expiry) by VO for PR visa stamping.

dear ovais, cogradulations, in my openion, pasports should not be noterized, but if u do so, it is good. but i will suggestu, send very clear and color copies of passports are sufficient. nekeol

Does anyone know if JMR ever gives anyone good answers?

I applied FSW LVO on 2 Nov 2011.Did medical on 31 Oct,2012.Medical updated on ECAS within one month.Police certificates sent at same time.All the paperwork complete and now no news since then.Every time I ask by email I get the same reply your file is in cue for review by immigration officer.It has been in cue since Jan.Two days back when i inquired how long before it will be reviewed i got reply " hopefully in next two months" What is going on?

From what iv read here JMR is saying that to everyone. can anyone give any info? Im so depressed.......
