These tips are provided by senior students living in Canada. You are advised to verify the authenticity as rules often change.
While travelling through Europe, If you have more than two transfer points, then you may need a transit visa.
If you are travelling through London, Brussels or other airports, Please do check the content limit of things like toothpaste and cream before putting them in your laptop or carry-on Bag. They will simply throw the things which are over the limit.
Those who are coming via Air France may face discrimination or small incidents of racism. Please be quiet and don’t respond anyone aggressively.
Those who are coming from Cathay Pacific just need to relax as the flight is little long. There is nothing else to worry about.
The students who are coming in Winter session should try to book flights with transit time more than 3 hours as sometimes flights get delayed and it a hassle to catch the next flight.
Those Coming via Air India- Air Canada can ask the Gate agent in a politely and friendly way about how many luggage suits they have onboard before boarding at the transit point.
Strictly vegetarian people should choose their meal plan before.
Always follow the queue and it is very rude to break the queue.
It is very important to wear loose clothes during your journey and sikh student should wear parna instead of the turban as the journey will be long.
Never leave your valuables on other’s responsibility during your transit time, as nobody is responsible for your luggage.
