Hi, we are a family of three, two are in Canada and the other outside of Canada. We have already received the P1 and the visa in the passport of our family member, who is outside of Canada. Can he only travel when we receive the P2 and confirm that we are already in Canada? Do we have to wait for the EcoPR as well so he can travel? How long does it take from P1 to P2? We have already completed 30 days of waiting. Thank you.

Is he a dependent? If so, they can't land before you are virtually landed (receive eCoPR). P2 isn't landed status.

Thank you, it's difficult for people who receive it in just a few days, others in 25 days and in some cases I've seen in up to 4 months we're already waiting 30 days! Thank you again

The hard part is over (getting a PR). Will be a short wait at best and time flies faster than we think :)

I responded my officer the P1 since May 13th, it's been one month and 3 days and I haven't received the email to assess my Portal 2. IRCC is the one supposed to send me a link and password right?

Hello, I will like to know what you eventually did in this situation now that you have received your P2. Did your family member travel back to Canada. Did you wait until P2 before they travelled or did you respond to P1 that they were away. I am in a similar situation. I am the principal inland applicant and received p1 June 17th, and have responded, however but my spouse travelled 10 days ago. Do i inform IRCC now using P1 or do I wait until they send P2 and my spouse returns to Canada. What is the best way and what did you do in your case. Thank you so much

Inland spousal, Received P1 information request email while in India, will be back before 7 days, should I reply now or postpone until landing in Canada?

Is my TRV and PGWP still valid?

P1 doesn't make you a PR, so no! Your TRV and PGWP are still valid. If you are going to be back before the deadline of responding to P1, you should do that - waiting to respond till you land makes sense then. Make sure you aren't failing to respond within the timeline.

Fwiw, you only become a PR after you are virtually landed(issue eCoPR) OR when you physically land with a CoPR at the border. P1 and P2 don't make you a PR. TRVs invalidate when you become a PR.

Both TRV and PGWP are still valid, you are not a PR yet. If you plan to be back in Canada before the 7 days after receiving P1, you can reply when you're back. If not, then reply stating that you're outside of Canada with your return date and then send an email again once you're in Canada.
