LANDED..........
Still not decided
Dear All,

I have already got my PR and want to know if I land and come back after taking PR Card than how much time I can live in India. Can I plan to go back to Canada after 2 or 3 years. What would be its effect on my PR Status?

Thanks

Dear Ash,

Congratulations on getting the PR !!
The clause is that, you have to be in Canada for at least 730 days (two years) within 5 years to retain your PR status. That means, you can stay in India for more than 2 years.

Thanks, And this 730 days continuosly or total days in 5 years? 2ndly Its for 1st five years or every 5 years this condition applicable to retain the PR?

Dear Ash,

Need not be continuous. Total 730. You can apply for Citizenship, if you stay there for minimum 1095 days (three years) within 4 years just before you apply for Citizenship. That means, if you hold the PR status for total 1095 days within 4 years, you are eligible for Citizenship.
