This place is so silent. Does everyone have FD except me?Anyway is it normal to get pre arrival services letter twice? I just got a reminder. Specifically worded like that. A reminder that I'm qualified to access pre arrival services and an invitation to register for it.Is it compulsory that I must register if I don't see the need to? My process still has a bit of a long way to go. I've not received the medical request yet and even if I do I'm on a six month vacation out of my country of origin (overseas spouse) and I don't know if I'll be allowed to do the medical in another country different from that where I applied from. Especially since my dependants are back at home.Is there anyone here who is knowledgeable enough to address my questions and concerns? Thanks.

It has been a long unending Odyssey with no definite end in sight. It's been 9 years away from my spouse. Sometimes I don't know if I'm still married or just held bound by a wedding certificate. 9 years are too much for a couple who are not in prison to be kept apart.

it is very unfortunate but we cannot do anything expect waiting
quebec province have it’s own immigration policy due to this most applicants suffer

The pre-arrival letters are very confusing to people and I wish they would change the name. Pre-arrival letters have nothing to do with when you might actually get PR. It is a procedural step after eligibility.

My spouse received an email explicitly asks us to pay the biometric fee and provide the receipt. Interestingly, we have already received the Biometric Instruction Letter (BIL) from the system. Should we add the biometric completed letter once we did that or should we still pay the fee? It is confusing cause we received the BIL. if we need to pay for it, we were not suppose to have it. any ideas?
The safest approach is to verify whether the biometric fee was already paid when the application was submitted, confirm whether the Biometrics Fee ($85 CAD per person) was included. If it was paid already, reply to the email with the original receipt showing the biometric fee.

why u are repeating one message 100times who asked you to tell this info, you already said this thing and nobody asked you to tell any info
so it’s better to keep quiet
you do not have any application regarding protected person

Does the overseas dependent of a protected person need to provide a police clearance certificate? Even when the main applicant had issues with the law enforcement agency?

An overseas dependent (spouse or dependent child aged 18 or older) included in a protected person's PR application must provide a police clearance certificate for countries where they have lived (more than 6 months), even if the principal applicant was exempt from obtaining one from their country of persecution.

If your dependents are in your country of origin, I think they will request them for it. You are exempt because it is country of persecution but as they are not considered protected persons or in risk, so they are not exempt.
