I don't know bcoz I have representative so therefore I don't know about updation
Hello everyone, I need your help to fill up the form as a overseas spouse of protected person in Canada. my partner recently received AOR and after couple of days later i received the mail from IRCC requesting some personal documents and requested to fill up several forms. i need your help to fill up some form if you could.
Imm0008e : Application Detail - 1 & 2, Dependent - Note: we do not have any child, am i suppose to remove Dependent Section. as I'm dependent of Principal applicant.
Imm5406e : are we both, I and spouse(in Canada), suppose to fill it up in separate form?
Imm5562e: is it supposed to fill it up by my spouse(living in Canada as protected person)?

if the dependent overseas received several forms request to fill up then both the forms should be filled by only dependent
my confusion is my spouse in Canada is The Principle Applicant and at this point I am just the applicant, so on the Dependent section am i suppose to fill up Principle Applicant's details?
when i asked chatgpt, it said only my/our child can be dependent and to leave dependent section empty because i do not have child.
yes it is correct because your spouse cannot be your dependent as he/she is the principal applicant who is protected person in canada
Kindly fill the dependent information (you are their dependent) and also fill the principal applicant details of your spouse and submit the documents with a checklist via web-form. That is what we did
if i am the dependent and i should put my personal information on to Dependent section then whose personal information to put on the top? inland spouse's personal information?

The information on top is for your spouse residing in Canada. then dependent information is "your information"
let me tell you this:
my inland spouse is a protected person. she has already applied for PR in August 2025. she received AOR last week and after couple of day i got this email with my application number requesting to fill up several form along with civil status documents.
i think i need to put my information on the top of the from and leave empty/remove Dependent section as i/us do not have child.

I had an update today for my dependant, we have received the medical exam and fingerprint request for my spouse which is overseas. Though I haven't received FD as the main applicant yet. I never heard that a dependant receive medical without the main applicant being approved or getting FD, any thoughts on this? And is it a good sign?
Plus, she received the fingerprint however she had her fingerprint couple years ago for visitor visa, do they need another fingerprint for PR? Is it new? I thought the fingerprint is valid for 10 years, regardless of the application.
Pls advise on both questions

another person also recived medical request 2days ago just like you no fd but medical
if a biometric instruction letter is sent by ircc then she has to give biometric
