my and my wife,s Permanent Residence (PR) application, which was submitted in February 2023

My spouse has already received her PR approval in August 2025. I am currently outside Canada as a dependent applicant.

In August 2025, I was requested to provide my birth certificate and marriage certificate, which were duly submitted.

In November 2025, I received a request for a police clearance certificate, which I also provided.

In January 2026, I was asked to submit my complete travel history along with copies of all passport pages. These documents were submitted in January 2026.

Since then, I have not received any further updates on my application.

I don't understand why they are asking me for everything separately. Why don't they ask me for everything at once?
and I don't understand how much longer this will take.

Hello everyone, I need your help to fill up the form as a overseas spouse of protected person in Canada. my partner recently received AOR and after couple of days later i received the mail from IRCC requesting some personal documents and requested to fill up several forms. i need your help to fill up some form if you could.
Imm0008e : Application Detail - 1 & 2, Dependent - Note: we do not have any child, am i suppose to remove Dependent Section. as I'm dependent of Principal applicant.

Imm5406e : are we both, I and spouse(in Canada), suppose to fill it up in separate form?
Imm5562e: is it supposed to fill it up by my spouse(living in Canada as protected person)?

my confusion is my spouse in Canada is The Principle Applicant and at this point I am just the applicant, so on the Dependent section am i suppose to fill up Principle Applicant's details?

yes it is correct because your spouse cannot be your dependent as he/she is the principal applicant who is protected person in canada

Kindly fill the dependent information (you are their dependent) and also fill the principal applicant details of your spouse and submit the documents with a checklist via web-form. That is what we did

if i am the dependent and i should put my personal information on to Dependent section then whose personal information to put on the top? inland spouse's personal information?

let me tell you this:
my inland spouse is a protected person. she has already applied for PR in August 2025. she received AOR last week and after couple of day i got this email with my application number requesting to fill up several form along with civil status documents.

i think i need to put my information on the top of the from and leave empty/remove Dependent section as i/us do not have child.
