you can apply to visitor records, they can wait in Canada if accepted

They can apply for a visitor record but it is not guaranteed. As visitors your ability to remain in Canada is never guaranteed. Given Canada’s attempt to reduce the number of temporary residents remaining in Canada is no longer as easy as it once was.

Hello All

I have a question I am wondering about dependants overseas I knew that processing time is 49 months.

My question is that 49 months has to be finished all 49 it's a very long way.

I applied for PR as protected person 2 years ago including my dependants overseas still waiting for the final decision.

Can you please anyone been through this dependants overseas how long will take them to get PR approval according to your journey of processing time.

Much appreciated thanks All and God bless you.

What I have seen here is that dependents get there ppr a couple of months after the primary applicants gets the PR, and the fact your dependent did medical is a good sign.

Did you receive pr card

No indication that they have received their PR card or landing as a PR. If they submitted their application in July 2023 it is too early to have received PR unless they were part of the pilot program. They still may not have received PR if they were being processed as part of the pilot program but it may have been possible versus being processed via normal processing where expecting processing time has not been completed yet.

But remember the processing time is an average, doesn't hold true for everyone.

Thanks for sharing and details you provide yes I think so after main applicant received PR would be much easier for dependants to get PR
