I have a concern about the overseas employment certificate as a requirement to travel outside the Philippines.
I am directly hired by my brother in Canada as a caregiver to his son. I undergo the visa processing by myself without the help of an agency in the Philippines. Luckily, i was given a multiple entry visa under "worker" category. My brother sent me an airline ticket which I am expected to travel and be in Canada on June 9, 2017.
Recently, I came to know about the OEC requirement. I inquire about it in POEA Cebu City and they told me that they cannot issue OEC because i need a certificate from Philppine Overseas Labor Office which i think my employer is the one who will secure it from Canada.
I am so confused on how to secure my OEC with my limited time because i have to travel on June 9. What are my other options to take if i cannot secure an OEC?
