Hi,

Is it possible for my parents (Australia) to electronically transfer funds into my bank account while I am in Canada? Are there any limits?

Yes they can make transfers.

No idea on limits, check with the bank in Australia, they will give you the current rules.

@simonvee
one point to note is that the rate of exchange (and the fees) of banks are generally terrible for foreign transfer! I'm also in Oz looking to send money to our Canadian bank account in preparation for our arrival. I researched a company online ozforex.com.au. I really recommend them, particularly if you are talking $000's or $0000's of dollars the savings by using this route (and yes it is safe) are very very significant.

I have a bank account with Scotiabank as you might have heard in my own topic and a "Western Union" option is included in the "StartRight" package they offer and there is no limit for the amount of money your parents would / could transfer to you and you will have your money being transfered within 2 to 3 business days.

Easy and very comfy.
