Overpaid - How to request a refund?

We paid for our work permit twice just to be safe due to an issue with our paperwork. We sent the wrong form initially.

Anyway, they didn't process the first application at all. Can we request a refund for it? How do we do that?

We had overpaid by accident and CIC sent us an email letting us know we overpaid and refunded the overage within a few weeks.

Was that after they already processed the rest of your application?

No, I think it was right after AOR or SA.
