I am a Canadian citizen and I am working on the applications to sponsor my wife from Sweden. I must say some of the questions on the application are quite confusing...

1. For Part 3 in the checklist, It asks for (8) photos of my wife. Is this the same photos that the photographer takes just the the medical?

2. I have some birthday's, valentine's, x-mas, wedding, x-mas cards I would like to send it as proof, but do they have to be the original copy? I would like to know if anyone has gotten them back.

3. As for tax forms, I believe they wanted the Option C. Can I call and obtain that from the Gov't.?

4. Do they need the original marriage certificate or can it be photocopied? I guess passport and ID cards can be photocopied?

5. My wife and I use calling cards and MSN web cam to communicate with each other. I also called my phone company and they said it won't show that I called Sweden because it is a Canadian base number I use with the calling cards. Should I just send in the calling cards and explain that. I have a bunch of emails where we communicate back and forth to each other as well.

6. I didn't see if I needed to send in photocopy of my passport in the application. Is it required?

7. For my wife medical checkup, will she be getting something back from the doctor like a receipt for us to mail in with our application?

Thanks!

1. Not sure what you mean here, all the images are the same, you will need some for the medical.

2. Send copies.

3. Option C. yes ask the Gov't. it does not take that long to arrive.

4. Send originals of the immigration forms and police certificates. Send photocopies of all other documents, unless instructed otherwise.
The checklist and documentation will specify what needs to be a copy or an original.

5. Do a few screen grabs on MSN, send the emails, keep a diary.

6. Include only copies of pages showing the passport number, date of issue and expiration, your photo, name, surname (family name), date and place of birth.

7. She will get IMM 1017 section A back from the DMP

No, they're additional, and usually a different format. You have to contact the DMP to see the specification/number of photos required.

It says in the checklist:

PHOTOS
Supply eight (8) recent photos for each member of your family and yourself. Follow the instructions in your guide (see Photos in section on completing the Application for Permanent Residence in Canada) and in Appendix B: Photo Specifications.

So since this is only my wife. Do I follow the medical specs format for these 8 pictures?

Tjena..

You need to include 8 pictures for the application, but in the area specific guide it also specifies that 3 or 4 photos must be brought to the doctor, these are the same as the others, but IN ADDTION to the one.

Hejdaa!
