Hi Everyone, i am sponsering my wife, and seems like we have to attach some of our letters and greeting cards to show our relation, but do we have to send original cards and letters to embassy, can we just make a copy and send because original ones are special and close to my heart :)

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere you can make a photocopy, just make sure to explain them that you didn't include the original ones and why you decided to photocopy them!

We included the originals but would have photocopied them if our scanner wasn't so terrible at it! :)

Photocopies are fine, I believe. We didn't send originals, just made copies of them.

We coughed up a couple of originals . . . but we got them ALL back, along with all the pics we submitted.

Did you tell them to return them or did it just happen automatically?

You can send copies. It seems each visa office differs on sending back originals of things - some do automatically, some don`t, and some will if you ask.
For letters and cards, it is better to also include a copy of the envelopes to show when they were sent. If you didn`t keep the envelopes, well, it will probably be OK. You can just explain you didn`t keep the envelopes, if the visa officer asks at the interview.
