Did you have a work permit and work in 2018?
i had study permit in 2018 and i went out of status in january 2019. I haven't applied for my taxes for 2018/2019 because i am not sure.

Also, my partners marital status has to be changed for this 2019 filing because he did it as single when it was supposed to be common law. But when we try to do it it asks for SIN of the common law partner (which is me). but my SIN is expired. so what are we supposed to do @canuck78

You put it your SIN#. Taxes for 2019 is for 2018 when you were in status. You need to file your taxes.

Ok great I will apply taxes for 2018 when I was in status. As my sin expired in Jan 2019 I don’t have to apply for the year 2019 right? I did not work during that time.Correct me if I’m wrong. Also when my partner changes his marital status for 2019 which is going to be reassessed should I mention my expired SIN number in the common law partner section or leave it blank? We started living together from February 2018 @canuck78
