Out of Canada 6 months HELP

Help !

I am a Canadian and I have been traveling New Zealand for 6 months now and have decided to stay longer. I only purchased 6 months of Medical Insurance thinking I could renew it at the end of the month. Because i have been out of Canada for 6 months my B.C Medical was notified and its over... so i cant purchase medical from home now and no one here will insure a Canadian traveling around NZ.

CAN ANYONE HELP ME..

I am sure someone will sell you insurance. Google insurance brokers in Canada and email some and ask about your options.

Unfortunately, you cannot buy travel insurance from a Canadian company at this point, becuase travel insurance has to be purchased before the departure. You could probably buy a 'visitors insurance' in NZ, assuming they have similar policies as in Canada for visitors. You would probably have some kind of a waiting period though.
