We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on February 17, 2012.

We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on February 21, 2012. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

We started processing your application on December 11, 2012.

Does anyone know how long we have to wait to receive an acknowledge letter for the test? Thanks

It took seven months for me from the start of processing to receiving the test invitation letter. That was for BC, however. Hope this helps you anyways, Eliza.

At this stage NO NEWS is GOOD NEWS.

As per our timeline, it is a bit early for any good news except for a Residential Questionare which I don't wish for anybody. Its like a reset button for your application.

All the best.

Layyah,
There is a mistake on your timelines. You received a letter to appear for an oath before doing the test.
Will appreciate if you will review the timelines.
Thank you :) :) :)

Eliza, can you provide some updates as of April 20th. Did you get your notice to write the test?

Not yet:( My online status is still "in process". Today I called the immigration office and they told my that my documents is in Calgary office so I have to wait to call me for the test. They mentioned that waiting time could be up to 9 months:(( Is that true??
