Hi goodman36, for the medical extension, they only took xray photos of her lung.
Hi LoveCanada

Thanks for the reply.

For the Medical extensions, did they send you any form to take to the Doctor or just asked you to go to the Doctor's office?

IOM is International Organization for Migration. There is an office in District 1 in Saigon. It's an $80 fee for them to help your wife acquire, sign, and translate all necessary documents to bring back to Canada to submit.

Hi everyone,

since January 2011, today we got a letter from CIC for our scheduled interview next month (july 2013) in HCM after more than 2 years and 6 months of waiting.

We know that we cannot celebrate until its done ... so anyone here with interview preparation can gives us some tips?

I'm still shock ... we never thought this would come

Thanks

That's amazing CTC's wife got approved in just 6 months, despite a 23 month average processing time. This shows if you have a strong application, you can avoid the long wait

Hi guys, wow a lot of you here got approved. I'm from Ho Chi Minh, too and just had my medical last May 17. The IOM medical office told me they're going to send the results to Manila and send back to Canadian Consulate (Ho Chi Minh) after final assessment. My dilemma now is, I don't know if the Consulate here has already received my medical result. From your experience, how long does it take for them to issue the visa after the medical? It will be a month now in 2 days and I'm anxious, really. I just want this to be done. Thanks guys.. :)

Thanks Love Canada for the reply. I'm a bit worried because there's a backlog in the Canadian Embassy in Manila (Apps from Korea & Japan are processed there now) that may cause the delay of assessment on our medical results there. I just wish it won't take long for both our visas. Good luck!

A friend of mine from Manila who has a pending application there, received a message from the embassy that there will be some delays because of the huge amount of applications they're processing now. The embassy there isn't that big and the number of VO's assessing the applications are just few. So, expect a backlog. I just don't know if it affects the DMP which process the medical assessment from other countries such as vietnam. :(
