Hello Everyone, I have a situation here. My Mom is a single mom when she had me, and now both my mom and grandparents (mom’s side) are deceased. I’m sponsoring my niece from my half-sister who I grew up with, she reached biometrics and medical part already and now they are asking death certificates for both my parents and grandparents even on my dad side (who I never knew my whole life). I won’t be able to provide this as I have no information about them. I never mentioned my dad on all my application even applying for Permanent Residence and Citizenship. Now I don’t know what to do as I don’t have proof about my dad what should I do?

Your father and your father's parents needs to be deceased in order for you to qualify to sponsor your niece. It makes sense that IRCC is requesting this information.

If there is no way for you to obtain these three death certificates, then you can try getting an affidavit done that states you've never had a relationship with you father and have no way to locate him or any of his family members. I have no idea if IRCC will accept this. By the rules, to qualify as a sponsor, you must prove your father and his parents are deceased.

Is your father or his parents alive?
