original or notarised?

Hi, I am planning to send my documents for federal soon waiting for PCCs meanwhile. Do I need to send originals of my birth certificate and marriage certificate or can i send notarised ones? If original, does VO return them back to us?

Some of the documents should be original, and some can be their copies.
Check the detailed check list for your visa office.

notorized photocopies will do.
only the medicals and police clerance will be original(when the request for it)
