you can send it through speed post India , they do all the paper work and they send the passport out of the country. If you send it by DHL, Do get a letter from the Ministry of External Affairs basically a permission to send the passport out of the country. Once you have the letter DHL sends it within 2 to 3 days. Hope this helps

Awesome Thanks! This helps a lot.

Also does anyone have experience using Speed Post India (I mean the passport is delivered on time and doesnt get lost right?)?

Does anyone know how long it takes to get letter from the Ministry of External Affairs (India)?

Thanks,
P

I have called speed post in India and Dhl both of them have denied that they cannot sent passport out of india even if you have letter from minister of external affairs. So this is the reality.

I was in the same situation and when i called DHL,they told me that they can definitely send passports if we have letter from ministry of external affairs. So,you should better call their toll free number..

I did call there local office no and spoke to there manager, but aad did you manage to currier there passport to canada tru Dhl

I called border services today and they said it is prohibited for someone to carry someone else's passport. I have no idea how to get my spouse passport here. I am stuck

Did you apply for TRV? Maybe, your spouse could also apply for a TRV (attach the PPR email with the application)....and she could come to Canada and then you can submit your pps.
